Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. The place was full, but then the place is also pretty small. With everyone chatting it can get quite noisy. With so many patrons food must be good here. So 4 of us ordered 3 dishes; T7 Teochew mix platter; 52 Sambal Petai King Prawns and 71 Claypot curry fish fillet. The dishes were excellent and the size was reasonable too. The food is very Malaysian style and would definitely recommend this place to others. Will definitely come back again. Would suggest you book to avoid disappointment.

Busy and bustling yet clean and tidy. Service was good - Courteous and friendly. Enjoyed my Assam laksa and soybean drink. The laksa wasn’t overly sour. Just right for me. Lunch time crowd was constant and consistent. Not overly noisy. Like a hum of voices Lunchtime offer - Any rice or noodle dish you get one free of following: taufu fah Soft drink Cucur udang. I had the taufu fah. Nice Will come again.

We had my favourite Teochew platter, nestum prawn, a yam basket with kung-po chicken and chicken rice. Everything was delicious as agreed by our friends, not too salty nor too sweet, they were flavoursome. It is advisable to book a table in advance during peak hours.

Been here a number of times and feel that they have been consistently good with their laska and noodle dishes. Highly recommend their bbq pork belly - it is fantastic!!! I was disappointed with their chicken rice (it was cold) and lack luster. The restaurant gets very busy but you can call to book a table. They like to have their air con on (even in winter) so it can get quite cold. The price has gone up but the serving size has not. I don't feel the price reflects the quantity. Still left feeling hungry after their pan mee but it was delicious. Their rojak whilst tasty is very very expensive for the size and the ingredients (apple, pineapple and cucumber). Staff were polite and food came quickly. Overall we really do enjoy the food at Laksa Village and will be back. I just wish the serving size was larger.

Very authentic Malaysian food. We drove here just to try it out and gosh we were not disappointed. We tried the yam ring and the sambal petai. Both were awesome, very generous sized prawns with the petai. Also had bonus desserts from ordering mains. We definitely will come back soon.

Small Malaysian restaurant with round tables for bigger gathering. The lunch deal is pretty good. Order any main and you can have a choice of Tau Fu Fa (soy bean pudding) or a soft drink or Cucur Udang (prawn fritter if available) for free. I really enjoyed the Yun Yong Hor Fun and Assam Laksa. They were both authentic and delicious.

Been here a few times now. The dishes vary between excellent and middling, but nothing is actually bad. If they whittled their menu down a bit and removed what they aren't good at, I would rate them higher. Here are three dishes we tried recently. The silky egg yin-yong is probably one of the best in Melbourne. Everything was spot on - the wok hei, the light crispiness of the bee hoon, and the egginess of the sauce. You can see the egg is perfectly silky and not overcooked. The Lobak is a bit unusual, in that it is thinner than most other places and it's actually juicy with a crispy skin (meaning it's freshly fried). I have never had a juicy lobak before, everywhere else it's dry. The flavour was excellent with an obvious hit of 5 spice powder. It's unusual to serve lobak with Hoisin sauce, the usual accompaniment is sweet chilli. It works, but I would still prefer sweet chilli sauce. The pan mee was not great. It passes as a pan mee, but the soup was bland. They should remove this from the menu or consider rethinking their recipe. Service is friendly and the restaurant is always packed. Make a reservation.
